How a performance works
Running time
Two hours for a close-up set at a cocktail reception. Twenty to sixty minutes for a stage show. The two combine readily: for its fourteenth annual convention, one regional property group booked a fifty-minute show followed by two hours of close-up.
Audience size
From ten to a thousand. Close-up suits small gatherings as well as large receptions, since it moves from one group to the next. A stage show calls for an audience size and a room layout agreed in advance.
Technical requirements
Close-up needs no set-up at all. A stage show requires an open space, a sound system and lighting, with the detail settled according to the venue.
Lead time
A standard booking comes together quickly. A sequence built around your message requires design time, to be allowed for when booking.
Languages
French and English. English-language performances are frequent, particularly in the mountain resorts and at international corporate events.
